tinybites-privacy-policies

1. Who we are

Tiny Bites (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a baby-food companion published by the Tiny Bites team. You can reach us at greysonmiller67@gmail.com for any privacy question or request below.

2. What we collect, and what we don’t

Tiny Bites is designed to collect as little data as possible. Everything you enter — your baby’s name, age stage, dietary notes, flagged allergies, logged tastes, planned meals, saved recipes and notification preferences — is stored only on your device, inside the app’s private storage area provided by iOS or Android.

We do not:

When you tap Settings → Export my data, a JSON file is generated on your device and handed to the system share sheet. What happens to that file from there is up to you — Tiny Bites never sees or stores it.

When you tap Settings → Delete all data, your local storage is wiped immediately and the app restarts in its first-install state.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Tiny Bites is free. To support the costs of running it, the app displays a small number of advertisements served by Google AdMob.

To deliver and measure ads, AdMob may read your device’s advertising identifier (the resettable “Advertising ID” on Android; “Identifier for Advertisers” / IDFA on iOS, only with your explicit App Tracking Transparency permission). The app requests non-personalised ads by default, which limits the data Google uses to choose the ad you see.

You can reset or limit your advertising identifier any time:

Google’s processing of advertising data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. We have no visibility into individual ad requests beyond aggregate, anonymised performance counts surfaced in the AdMob console.

4. Children and parental responsibility

Tiny Bites is intended for adults caring for babies, not for use by children themselves. The information you enter is about a child but is entered by you, the parent or carer, and is treated as your personal data for the purposes of this policy.

Because no profile data leaves the device, no information about your baby is ever transmitted, collected, or held by us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has somehow submitted personal information through Tiny Bites, contact us at the email above and we will take the matter seriously.

In particular, Tiny Bites is not directed at, and does not knowingly operate on, the data of users under the age of 13 (United States, COPPA) or under 16 (European Economic Area, GDPR Art. 8). Ad serving through Google AdMob is configured to treat the app as not primarily child-directed under Google’s Families policies, but ad personalisation is disabled regardless.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws including the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar regulations elsewhere to:

Because Tiny Bites stores your data only on your device, you can exercise most of these rights yourself, instantly, from Settings → Data & storage:

For any request you cannot resolve in-app — or for any question about how Google AdMob processes the advertising identifier — email greysonmiller67@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

6. Security

Your data is stored inside Tiny Bites’ app sandbox, protected by the operating system’s per-app file isolation. We rely on iOS/Android device encryption, which is on by default on every modern phone. No data leaves the device, so there is no transmission to secure.

7. Third-party services we use

We do not integrate any analytics SDK, crash reporter, attribution network, push-notification provider, or social-login provider.

8. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the new version will be published at the same URL and the Effective date at the top will change. Material changes will also be surfaced in-app via the Privacy screen so you see them on next launch.

9. Contact

Questions, comments, or a privacy request? Email greysonmiller67@gmail.com. We read everything.
